Talking about some of the big entities in the United States, we will be discussing about the large States in the country. The United States is home to some of biggest and Largest States in the US. It’s no surprise for a country that span across massive 9.834 million km² (2,680 miles horizontally and 1,582 miles vertically), and one of the Largest Countries in the World. In fact, some states in the United States are bigger than some countries. Therefore, we have decided to wet your appetite by providing you with the top 10 Largest States in the United States.

Alaska State occupies the number one spot on our list of the Largest States in the US. The state is big to the extent that when California, Montana, and Texas are merge together, it is still bigger. Ironically, despite been the largest state in the country, it has the lowest population density in the United States. This can due to its weather that seems to be on the extreme.  5% of the state is covered by glaciers which the state has about 100,000 of them and the states houses all the Tallest Mountains in the US. The state is famous for its wildlife especially animals like salmon, moose, caribou, bears, whales, bison, puffins, jellyfish; and natural landscape such as glaciers and fjords, mountains, lakes, rivers, and waterways

Next on our list is the state of Texas, located in southern area of the United States. The state is bigger than most European countries and it is ranked as the second Largest State in the US on our list, it is also among the highly populated states in the country. Texas is characterized by central plains that houses some beautiful hills, Guadalupe Peak (the highest natural point in the state) with an elevation point of 2,667 meters above sea level, also not forgetting the river channel (primarily developed to control flood) which attracts lots of visitors from within and outside the country.

The state is located in the western part of the United States and it is the Most Populated State in the US with over 40 million inhabitants. This is no surprise because the state houses two cities among the most populous cities in the United States which are Los Angeles (home to Hollywood Entertainment Industry) and San Diego, not just that, San Francisco is another important city in the state because it is home to the Golden Gate Bridge, the Alcatraz Island and cable cars; not forgetting the “Death Valley” which is recognized as the hottest, driest place in the country.
