The self-titled double album was released in 1968 and it is the ninth studio of the English rock band the Beatles. The copy 0000001 that sold for this huge amount was owned by Ringo Starr, the drummer of the Beatles. Also, the album is labelled among the Top 100 most Valuable Vinyl Records because of its rareness.

The album which is highly valued because of its place in the career of Presley is also one of the Top 100 most Valuable Vinyl Records. The record is reported to be Presley’s first recording and it comprises of the two cover songs: ‘My Happiness’ and ‘That’s When Your Heartaches Begin.’ Jack White bought the rare vinyl record for $300,000. He later released a limited-edition reproduction of the song via his record label, Third Man Records.

The rare vinyl record was purchased in 2013 by an American buyer for $290,500. The sale was a huge surprise as it was expected to sell way lesser than that, in fact, at around $30,000.

The album was sold in an auction for $125,000 in 2016, thereby becoming the most expensive copy of the record ever.

One of the original test pressings was put up for sale on eBay in 2014 and was bought by Markus ‘Notch’ Persson, the creator of Minecraft, for whooping $46,300 making it the eight most expensive vinyl record on our list. This is not a surprise because the album was released in a limited (handful) copies causing to be rare and scarce to come by.

Tommy Johnson breaks into the list with his album ‘Alcohol and Jake Blues’ occupying the ninth spot on our list. The album is was released in 1930 and it’s one of the five songs that Johnson released for Paramount. The rare record was put on sale on eBay by an unknown seller in       2013 and it was bought by John Tefteller, an Oregon-based record collector for $37,100. He was named the winner of the rare vinyl record been the highest bidder. He bought the vinyl record because according to him it was better than the one, he had in his possession.

  • #10. Frank Wilson ‘Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)’

Frank Wilson finds his way into the list with his ‘Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)’ single bringing us to the conclusion of our discourse on the Most Expensive Vinyl Records in 2020 coming in at the tenth spot our list. The song was first pressed in 1965 on the Motown subsidiary label Soul. About 250 copy of the song was released, in fact, there is rumour that there is just five of the record that is in circulation making it a rare vinyl record to come by.

However, one of the copies that earned this song a spot on this list was bought by an unknown buyer for a sum of $37,000 in 2009.
